The Kennedy Theatre at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa is the home base for the productions of the Department of Theatre + Dance. Designed by internationally-renowned architect I.M. Pei and opened in 1963, the 620-seat Kennedy Theatre is the site for elaborate Asian and Hawaiian theatre productions, Western theatre classics, and contemporary works, as well as dance performances. The companion 140-seat black box Earle Ernst Lab Theatre focuses on experimental works and thesis projects by students. Visit their website or call the school for more information.
