Kailua Onstage Arts continues its inaugural season with the Hawaii Premiere of Title and Deed by Pulitzer Prize finalist and Horton Foote Prize winner Will Eno, performed by Kevin Keaveney and directed by Will Ha'o. This highly acclaimed solo play, which appeared on both The N.Y. Times and The New Yorker magazine’s Top Ten Plays of 2012, is a haunting and often fiercely funny meditation on life as a state of permanent exile.
Somehow simultaneously a stand up comedy act and an existential crisis, our protagonist leaps from subject to subject like the love child of Samuel Beckett and Steven Wright, as he tries to understand the strange customs of this new land he finds himself in, and enlightens us about the traditions and experiences of his homeland. If all goes well, he will find a good stopping point in a little more than one hour.
The production is performed by Kevin Keaveney and directed by Will Ha'o and runs from November 30th through Dec. 9, at Skeleton Key Hawaii, 171-A Hamakua Dr., in Kailua. The running time is approximately 75 minutes.
Dates: Nov 30 & Dec 1 at 7:30, Dec 2 at 4, Dec 7 & 8 at 7:30, Dec 9 at 4.
Performances held at Skeleton Key Hawaii, 171-A Hamakua Dr, in Kailua.
