HTS Issue #230- We Have to Stay Here and Watch

Aloha ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the 230th issue of Hitting the Stage!

HTS Staff Reviewer Wil Kahele has two reviews for shows he's seen over the weekend! Over at Diamond Head Theatre, Disney's The Little Mermaid is in full swing! He commends DHT's journey under the sea in A Treasure Trove of Talent. Not far from Diamond Head, Chaminade University's Collegiate Theatre Festival just kicked off with Anna Deavere Smith's Twilight: Los Angeles 1992. It is not the oceanic musical romp The Little Mermaid is, but is still a poignant and powerful piece that is very relevant to today. See Wil's review, A Time to Remember.

Both of these shows have a weekend or two left, and I fully encourage everyone to see both! Also opening this weekend is the second installment of the Hawaii Shakespeare Festival, Comedy of Errors! This doppelganger filled production opens on Friday at The ARTS at Mark's Garage. Make sure you catch it as well!

If you watch any of these shows and would like to share your reaction, please email hittingthestage@gmail.com! We would love to hear from our community!

Until next time!
