WHAT: The story of Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan comes alive at Diamond Head Theatre Nov. 1-5, 2017 as ‘Iolani School Performing Arts presents its fall production, The Miracle Worker.  

William Gibson's play is based on Helen Keller’s autobiography The Story of My Life. The original production premiered on Broadway in 1959 and earned Tony Awards for Best Play, Best Direction and more.

The Miracle Worker dramatizes the true, volatile relationship between lonely teacher Annie Sullivan, and her first pupil, Helen Keller. With scenes of intense physical and emotional dynamism, The Miracle Worker is a moving story with a powerful and inspiring ending.
