Issue #209 — Memorializing an Era

Issue #209 — Memorializing an Era

Aloha, All,

In this week's issue of Hitting The Stage...

Malia Baloyot and myself bring you two respective reviews on Honolulu Theatre for Youth's current offering, A Plantation Celebration, with A Gift for All Generations and Patchwork Plantation Aloha. As Malia states, although the show is not your typical holiday fare, the production still touches upon such holiday themes as "tradition, family, and coming together." Indeed, this collection of original songs, monologues, and scenes will have you feeling holiday warmth and closeness in a special island way, as we say aloha to the end of the plantation era.

Enjoy!
