We are pleased to announce KHSPAC’s fall production of Wanted: A Princess, another original KHSPAC fairy tale musical for children! Originally written in 2001 by KHSPAC students and former Performing Arts Center Coordinator, Peggy Anne Siegmund, Wanted: A Princess is an original fairy tale musical about a prince who must find a suitable bride before his 21st birthday or he will turn into a frog! Our talented cast this year consists of 16 Kaimuki High School students, many from KHS Performing Arts Center's Acting Class.
Targeted for younger audiences (Preschool - 4th Grade), but fun for all ages, the show will be performed on Sat, October 22 at 7:00pm, Sun, October 23 at 3:00pm and Sat, Oct 29 at 7:00pm and Sun, Oct 30 at 3:00pm. The October 29 & 30 performances are *Princess Dress Up Days! All kids in costumes that attend these performances will get a special gift bag! Princess costumes are encouraged but all costumes are welcome!
Adult tickets are $10, students, military and seniors with I.D. are $5, Kids 3-4 are $3, and under 3 are free! Box office opens thirty-minutes before each performance for ticket sales. Cash or check only. Kaimuki High School is located at 2705 Kaimuki Ave., between Kapahulu Ave. and Kapiolani Blvd.
ABOUT KHSPAC: Kaimuki High School Performing Arts Center offers classes in acting, music, dance and technical theater at no cost to public school students all over Oahu. The program’s mission is based on the belief that performing arts develop important life skills including discipline, teamwork, creativity, self-awareness, confidence, focus, and appreciation of the performing arts. Under the direction of M.J. Matsushita, the program and its musical and dramatic productions involve about 160 students who present three major productions per school year.
